Position Summary:
Deep Roots Charter School is seeking a dynamic and organized Part-time Administrative Assistant to provide support to the administrative team and help facilitate the smooth operation of our K-6 school. The ideal candidate will embody our school values of Practice, Purpose, and Service while assisting in various administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet visitors, parents, and staff with a welcoming and professional demeanor.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and correspondence to ensure timely and effective communication.
- Assist in maintaining office supplies and keeping the office area organized.
- Support administrative staff in scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
- Help prepare documents, reports, and presentations as needed.
- Assist in data entry and record-keeping tasks to ensure accuracy and organization.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to support school initiatives and events.
- Uphold confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in office administration is a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar capacity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in a team environment.
- Understanding and alignment with the values of Practice, Purpose, and Service.
